2 thumbs up!BLOGGING TEMPLATE TIPS!
One of the things I have struggled with the most is the techie side of e-biz and that includes setting up a unique blog. I have found blogs to be light years ahead of static websites for usefulness, but adding my own unique touch has been challenging. Finding blog templates that don’t look like the next guys are one easy click of the mouse away and are from free to a few hundred dollars. However, thats where the easy ends and the headache starts. In the past I’ve cut costs and tried to set up the blog myself minus once when I was feeling smart and outsourced the work because I was using a sophisticated premium template. But free or premium each type of template has its frustrations and limitations.
Then along came Artisteer, which is possibly the software of my dreams. Artisteer is one of those programs thats so stupidly simple to use and useful you can’t figure how you worked without it.
Artisteer has solved my template problems in spades. I can finally create as many templates as I want and every one of them are unique to my business. The Artisteer program is unbelievably easy and fun to manipulate so I’ve had no problem with creating and changing headers or adding content. There has been no widget compatibility issues, or malicous script. Artisteer is extremelly WordPress friendly and has created beautiful, functional, fully W3C compliant themes.
I could marry this program. I can create my own original WordPress themes at any hour and it even has an “ideas” button to generate themes that I can build on. I was able to hit the floor running because it has accepted my average computer skills and the download to my host was an incredibly easy click away. And best of all I don’t need to stop everything to figure out how the program works, html, or any of the other fancy programs like photoshop or Dreamweaver.
It literallly took me 20 minutes to create a blog, where in the old days it took me weeks to NOT complete a blog which always would play into my “where’s the next shiny object syndrom” because of my techie nightmare.
